GVZ Components is an established European distributor and manufacturer of high-quality sensors, gas detection systems and electronic and electromechanical components for industrial, automotive, HVAC-R, Oil & Gas, electrification, aerospace and defence applications.

Founded in 1978, we have built long-standing relationships with leading international manufacturers, combining extensive market experience, technical expertise and a commitment to providing reliable solutions for demanding applications. As an established partner of Sensata Technologies, we offer an extensive portfolio of products from renowned brands including Klixon®, Airpax®, Kavlico®, Gigavac®, BEI Sensors and Crydom®, complemented by specialized manufacturers of advanced sensing technologies and electronic components.

Our History

Founded in 1978 by Guido Gariboldi, GVZ Components began its activities distributing GTE Sylvania motor protectors across Italy, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. Over the following decades, the company expanded its portfolio through strategic partnerships with leading international manufacturers, including Figaro Engineering (1988), FIS Inc. – now Nissha FIS (1992) – and Sensata Technologies (2006).
Since 2023, GVZ has also developed its own MLD series of gas detectors, further expanding its activities from distribution into product development and manufacturing.
Today, GVZ combines more than 45 years of experience with an increasingly diversified portfolio of technologies and solutions.

Our Core Business Areas

1. Gas Sensing & Detection

Gas sensing and detection represent one of GVZ Components' core areas of expertise. We offer a comprehensive range of gas sensors, sensing modules and complete detection systems based on different technologies, including MOS, electrochemical, NDIR infrared and advanced MPS™ sensing technology. Our solutions serve a wide range of applications, including: HVAC-R systems and refrigerant leak detection, including

• A2L and A3 refrigerants
• Industrial gas monitoring and safety systems
• Oil & Gas installations and hazardous environments
• Hydrogen detection and clean energy applications
• Methane, CO₂ Oxygen, Ammonia and other industrial gases

Working with leading manufacturers such as Nissha FIS, NevadaNano, GSS, Semeatech, AIYI and Riken Keiki, we provide access to advanced sensing technologies for a wide variety of gases and operating conditions. 

2. In-house Design & Develop

We design and develope our own MLD gas detectors and other Custom products directly at our headquarter in Milan, managing the entire process from engineering and product development to final production.

3. Automotive

The Automotive sector represents one of the most important areas of GVZ Components' business, supported by long-standing relationships with international manufacturers and a specialized portfolio of sensing technologies for conventional internal combustion engine applications. Our expertise focuses particularly on alternative fuel systems, where accurate and reliable measurement is essential for engine performance, safety and operational efficiency. Our automotive product portfolio includes:

• Pressure Sensors and Transducers for LPG and CNG fuel systems and other automotive application.
• Temperature Sensors for monitoring and control in automotive systems.

4. Electrification & Power Management

GVZ Components supports the transition towards electric and hybrid mobility through an extensive portfolio of advanced electrical components and power management technologies. Working with internationally recognized manufacturers, including Sensata Technologies, we supply specialized solutions for electric vehicle platforms, battery systems and high-voltage applications. Our product portfolio includes:

• High-voltage contactors and power relays
• EV Communication Controllers (EVCC)

Aerospace & Defence is an important and rapidly developing business area for GVZ Components, extending our expertise into highly specialized and demanding applications. We offer a growing portfolio of components from prestigious international manufacturers, including Sensata Technologies, Klixon®, Airpax®, Kavlico®, Safran, Crouzet, TE Connectivity and more.
Our range includes:

• MIL-SPEC aircraft circuit breakers and thermal circuit breakers
