Linear Encoders
these linear sensors are well sealed and especially rugged.
Hall effect sensors
to measure the position of a rotating magnet to produce an analog position signal.
Potentiometers
potentiometers use a variation in resistance to measure rotary or linear position.
Inclinometer Tilt sensors
Tilt sensors indicate an angular position relative to the local gravity vector.
Draw wire sensors
have a wire spool attached to a rotary sensor to convert the wire length into a value.
DROs
DROs or Digital Readouts give a visual numerical indication of position when used with linear encoders
LVDTs
are the standard for flight and engine control position measurements.
RVDTs
industry standard for angular and rotary measurements in aerospace and industrial applications.
