Description
The n3-BMS is a flexible, cell-chemistry-agnostic distributed Battery Management System designed to meet the highest safety and performance demands of heavy-vehicle OEMs. Fully ISO 26262 certified, it delivers next-generation features that tackle critical challenges in both safety and efficiency.
Unlike custom in-house designs, the n3-BMS is an off-the-shelf solution that dramatically shortens time-to-market. It eliminates years of engineering and certification effort—work that would normally require hundreds of documents, extensive testing, and rigorous safety validation.
Its architecture uses a two-layer software structure: a Base Software Layer (BSW) that contains all functional-safety elements, and an Application Software Layer (ASW) for everything else. This separation lets users fine-tune key BMS parameters without jeopardizing ISO 26262 compliance. Customers can also configure any number of CMU channels from 6 to 12 for maximum design flexibility.
Equipped with a dual-core lockstep CPU, an ASIL-C–compliant ASIC, and advanced algorithms, the n3-BMS delivers exceptional measurement accuracy while maintaining robust functional safety.
