    Introducing the Active + Passive (A+P) PyroFuse from Sensata Technologies, an advanced high voltage safety solution designed to complement the existing PyroFuse family.
    The STP500P Series integrates both active, externally triggered disconnection and passive protection in a single device to address a wider range of electrical fault conditions. The passive mechanism used is a novel, integrated electromechanical trigger that ensures rapid interruption, even during less severe overcurrent events. In the event of a short circuit, accident, or internal failure, the Active + Passive (A+P) PyroFuse rapidly disconnects the load to help protect high voltage systems and reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock. It delivers high continuous current carrying capability, fast disconnect times, high breaking capacity, and excellent post isolation resistance within a fully enclosed housing that prevents gas release during interruption events. The lightweight, compact design supports system integration without adding unnecessary size or mass.
