Description
Meet the new REC45, next-gen high-voltage DC contactor, and a meaningful upgrade over the already-capable REC35.
Same proven cylindrical form factor. Drops right in. But the numbers are better where it counts.
What changed: Contact resistance dropped to 0.15mΩ (typ). That's a real reduction in heat which matters when you're running 500A in a tight enclosure. Make/break performance at 200A / 800V is 10,000 cycles. That's a 5x improvement.
What didn't change: The footprint. The mounting pattern. The coil options. If you're already running REC35’s, the transition is straightforward. What's under the hood: The REC45 uses an advanced permanent magnet architecture to blow the arc outward symmetrically regardless of current direction. No compromises on reverse-current interruption.
Maximized air gap clearance prevents carbon tracking on the chamber walls. Every REC45 ships as fully bi-directional. No variants, no confusion, no risk of pulling the wrong part for a regen braking system or BESS application. Rated for switching up to 1000VDC. 500A continuous. 7,000A short circuit @ 3ms.
The integrated 9-36v PWM economized coil draws just 0.09A @ 24v making it one of the most power thrifty contactors on the market.
CE certified, UL Recognized.
If you're designing HV junction boxes, battery disconnects, DC distribution, energy storage, or EV power subsystems, this is worth a look.
